篇一：不劳而获

It is obvious to everybody that the only way to achieve one's goal is to work hard. Just as the old saying goes "no mill, no meal". Ha一ve you ever seen a man who succeeds just by idling about? Of course, the answer is "No". So we know if you want to gain something, you will ha一ve pains.

The farmers harvest by a year of arduous work; the scientists gain achievements by years of devoted researches; students get good marks by working hard; even the little ants ha一ve their food by working hard day and night. 1 know there are always some people who wait for the opportunities falling on them. They may attribute their failures to lack of good chances. Therefore, there are so many people gaining nothing at last. Clever men know that the more effort they make, the bigger chance they will ha一ve to be successful.

So, when others achieve their aspirations and you still gain nothing, don't complain about the unfair fate and don't give up, either. Remember: no pains, no gains.

I am sure everybody has specific attribute or quality distinguish me from anyone else. For me, I think perseverance is my specific attribute.

Going through my past, I could see my perseverance was not inherited from my parents whom obviously different from me on this point, and I remember when I was young I never put my heart into one thing for a long time, today did this, tomorrow that, can’t ha一ve got one thing satisfied, so I was the useless one in the other’s eyes.When I was in high school, I was appointed as the leader of sports in our class. In fact, I did not know why I would be a leader of sports since I did not ha一ve sports strength. At the first year our school held an annual sports meeting, I joined it, actually I did not want to, but no choice, because I was a leader, and I chose the 3000m racing. Unfortunately, I won the last one, oh, my god, my face lost up, so sorry I felt. After that I made a resolution to practice it, every morning at 5 o’clock, I got up to run, just like this did it every day, no matter raining or snowing, I never ga一ve it up.

No pain no gain! This saying was totally right. I won the three successive championships of 3000m racing at our school sports meeting. I was so proud of myself. And more importantly, seeing it now is that my character had been changed, but that time I did not realize it, just did I knew when I chose something I would struggle to perform it till it was accomplished.

Now I chose to improve English, I never worry about the result, I just knew learning a language need a long time, so I do it everyday, and even I would ha一ve left GLV.

篇三：不劳而获

The heights which great man reach and keep are not attained by a sudden flight.

Most of us feel envious of the famous and successful man. We do not understand why they are so popular and honored while we are mere simple common folks. In our misconception, we think that people are prosperous because they are especially gifted or that they are "just lucky".

All these ha一ve taken root in our stubborn minds, and we refuse to believe that most great men ha一ve a mind which is the same as, or perhaps even simpler and duller than that of ours.

Yet, their triumphs are great. Why? Because they are apt to fight difficulties with perseverance without fatigue, undergo sufferings without minding the wounds; they realize that hardships form the road that they must pass through before reaching their destination. Their endurance is more powerful than that of ours for the simple reason that they submit without complaint to each storm in life.

To illustrate this, a good example is the adventure of Columbus. What a miserable state he was in before the discovery of the New World. First, it is the problem of getting the ship. It was no easy job. People thought he was crazy with nothing but imagination. When finally he was given the vessel, its crew created new difficulties. It consisted of men of different nationalities and they were unruly. When halfway on the voyage in the place of nowhere, they ran out of food and water. Had Columbus fallen into despair, America might ha一ve still remained unknown today.

All of us wish for ti bright future and hope to master a useful career. Those who persist in remaining in idleness will never fulfil their ambitions, "No pains, no gains" is a motto with rnuch rneaning. Meditate and live by it.
